Welcome to Honeysuckle Class    Y3/4

Useful information

The class teacher is Mrs. Dewey.

The class teaching assistants are Mrs. Carpenter and Mrs. Henshaw.

Our P.E. day is Friday - children are to arrive at school in their P.E. kit.

Our inquiry question this term is:

What was life like in World War II?

Spellings

Please practice the weekly spellings that are sent home.

Reading

Children are expected to read at least 4 times a week, every day if possible. Each time they read, it should be recorded in their reading diary, either by an adult, or the children can write in their diaries themselves.

Reading diaries must be brought into school each day, please.

Times Tables

Your child has a TTRS (Times Tables Rock Stars) log-in. TTRS is a really fun program that helps your child to learn their tables. We expect children to log on to this as much as possible, but at least twice a week.

The direct link to TTRS and a link to the parent's guide is below.

Communication

We will continue to use tapestry to share the children’s learning with you. We encourage you to share activities done at home on Tapestry as this helps us to get to know the children and understand their interests outside school. We love seeing what they’ve been up to and they enjoy sharing this with their classmates too.

Our door is always open for you to come and chat with us about any concerns you may have. You can also send us a message on eschools, which will come directly to us.

Check out Think You Know!

It is an excellent way for you and your child to explore online safety. It is also fun as it is set up as a game but with some vital information to help keep your child safe online.

Interactive resource to help keep safe online

It is important to talk about 'PANTS' at home. Watch this short video about Pantosaurus.
